Architectural & Building Acoustics

Creating the right acoustical space is as important for classrooms, meeting spaces, offices, call centers, workplaces, meeting spaces and living quarters as it is for entertainment and concert halls. We provide services to identify mechanical, reverberation and transmission noise issues that may interfere with your ability to utilize these spaces.

The R.A. Group assesses existing acoustical environments and use predictive interior acoustical software packages such as Datakustik CadnaR®, to model and optimize reverberant noise (RT60) and speech intelligibility within a space. We also employ software such as Insul® and CadnaB® to predict sound transmission through walls, ceilings, windows and floor components or to estimate transmission loss (TL), Impact Sound (Ln) and Weighted Sound Reduction Index (STC or RW) or Impact Rating (IIC) for design and specification of components.

R.A. Group works with clients to determine design criteria that consider feasibility, aesthetics, expectations, and budget and implement solutions for room finishes, building and room envelope components, HVAC and mechanical systems noise and vibration.
